The range of average peak longitudinal strain before and after AVR in subjects with normal (group 1), mildly abnormal (group 2) and moderately to severe (group 3) increased left ventricular mass index and aortic stenosis, controls and the whole study group (n = 38). GLS = peak longitudinal strain, AVR = Aortic valve replacement, LVM = left ventricular mass index.
